Vermeer Wisconsin manufactures and sells industrial and agricultural equipment commonly used near roadways for drilling and feeding wires, tubes, and more. As Vermeer’s growth continued across Wisconsin and the Midwest, they needed more space for equipment support and operations. Timeline: November 2023 to July 2024.

This project included completion and commissioning of an HVAC installation built around a variable air volume (VAV) air distribution system designed to deliver precise airflow control and zone-level temperature regulation throughout the facility.
VAV terminal units were installed with pressure-independent control dampers, integral airflow sensing, and properly sized duct connections in accordance with approved submittals and SMACNA standards. Associated ductwork was sealed, insulated, and supported to help maintain design static pressure and system efficiency.
Each VAV box was programmed with design minimum and maximum airflow setpoints and balanced to the specified CFM. Zone temperature sensors and control devices were calibrated and integrated with the central system to coordinate airflow modulation based on space demand. Final testing, adjusting, and balancing (TAB), along with functional performance testing, verified stable system operation and reliable temperature performance throughout the facility.
The newly constructed Vermeer Wisconsin facility spans 45,000 sq. ft. and includes an equipment repair facility, employee training areas, and product storage space. The repair facility also includes three cranes (a 5-ton crane, a 7.5-ton crane, and a double 3-ton crane).
