Capitol-Husting Company

Capitol-Husting is a family-owned, locally operated wine and spirits wholesaler based in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Their team sells, services, and delivers across the state. Timeline: September 2023 to December 2023. H&H Mechanical installed commercial HVAC systems for office and warehouse operations including RTUs, zoning, unit heaters, and controls.

Scope of Work

H&H Mechanical Contractors provided and installed:

H&H Mechanical provided and installed the following commercial HVAC systems:

• 6 Carrier VAV RTUs for the office area, with associated supply and return ductwork
• 6 RTU roof curbs
• All necessary natural gas piping serving the RTUs
• 23 VAV boxes in the office area for zoning
• Carrier BACnet i-Vu control system for HVAC controls throughout the office and production area
• All associated ductwork and controls for the VAV system
• 1 ductless split system serving the office IT room
• 2 unit heaters in the dock area

Results

This project delivered a commercial HVAC system built for large open warehouse areas and supporting office space. The system layout and air distribution were configured to help maintain consistent temperature control across the warehouse floor, high-bay spaces, and office zones.

Ductwork was fabricated and installed to SMACNA standards, using high-throw supply air and well-placed returns to help move air effectively in high-ceiling areas. Gas heat and DX cooling rooftop units were integrated with programmable controls to support scheduling, zoning between warehouse and office areas, and energy management during non-peak hours.

Code-compliant ventilation was installed to provide required outside air and exhaust to support indoor air quality in active work areas. Final startup, testing, air balancing, and performance checks verified airflow, temperature performance, and safe operation under warehouse operating conditions.
